Weigh in day!

Just for shits and giggles, I did a little experiment the last couple days.  I weighed myself right before bed and then as soon as I got up.  In 3 days, there was a 6 pound variance, as much as 3 pounds in one night!  It doesn't really mean anything, I just thought it was interesting.  It's also a good reason not to weigh yourself every day.  I recently read something that recommended weighing in every 2 weeks.  Seeing a weekly loss is a big motivation to keep going, I wouldn't want to wait that long to find out how I was doing! 

I made some whole wheat pancakes this weekend and froze them, 2 pancakes per serving.  I can toss them in the toaster at work and eat them with a little butter and sugar free blackberry preserves.  The pancakes with 2 links of turkey sausage are about 370 calories.  If it ends up being too few calories, I can eat the pancakes with peaches or strawberries.  It'll be a good addition to my breakfast rotation. 

My nephew seems pretty determined to stay the course in regards to exercise, which is great!  It is exactly what I need!  I start out on the treadmill while he uses the Weider and then we switch.  It works out to each of us doing 30 minutes of cardio and 30 minutes of strength training.  My goal this week and for the rest of the month is to exercise 3x a week.  I think I might sneak an extra day of cardio in on either Tues or Thurs but I'm not making it a goal until next month!

I weighed in today and lost 4.2 pounds since last week!

On January 2nd I weighed in at 370.6 pounds
On January 14th I weighed in at 363.4 pounds

7.2lbs lost so far.
