But I am kicking ass this week with my exercise! I really hope it shows on the scale come Monday. My nephew was here on Monday and Wednesday, which are 2 of our normal exercise days. I wanted to use the treadmill on Tuesday, but chose to be lazy and blew it off. That was the my one disappointment. Thursday night, I went up and walked on the treadmill for 30 minutes for my 3rd day of exercise this week. Today my nephew texted me and let me know he couldn't make it, but would be back on Monday. So when I got home from work, I first had to shovel the sidewalk and driveway and I thought about calling that my exercise for the day, but I chose to put on my shorts and hit my gym instead. I did my normal 60 minute strength and cardio routine for my 4th day of exercise this week. I'm going to keep the momentum going and make sure I hit the treadmill for another 30 minutes tomorrow. That'll be 5 days of exercise this week and that is the habit that I'm trying to start!
In addition, I packed my lunch 4 days this week and my goal is to pack 9 out of 10 days. That means I have to pack every day next week, which won't be a problem. So even though I bought lunch, I made some good choices at the cafeteria. For breakfast, I had an egg beaters omelet with bacon, peppers, onions and spinach with one piece of 7 grain toast. For lunch, I had a piece of grilled cod with roasted vegetables and lentils.
I've done well with my calories for the rest of the week as well, going over by less than 200 on Wednesday but staying under every other day. Nothing is going on this weekend, so I shouldn't have a problem staying under for the next two days either.
So this means that I should show a good 2 or 3 pound loss this week. However, between the new batteries in the scale and me bragging, I'm fully expecting the scale to tell me I gained 42 pounds!
