Doh! I mean Yay! but still Doh!

Today was weigh in day and I lost weight!  Yay!  I also had the wrong weight stuck in my head from my last weigh in, so I didn't lose as much as I thought! Doh!  I thought I had weighed in at 364.2, not 363.4.  So my 2 pound loss was actually a 1.2 pound loss.  I hope I break the 10 pound mark next week!

I'm surprised about one thing though.  I'm already down two notches on my belt.  Well, really a notch and a half.  I was between two notches when I started, one a little too loose and the other a little too snug.  This past Friday I started using the one that had been a little too snug and it fit perfect.  Yesterday and today, I started using the next notch down and it fits perfect!  I only have one notch left on this belt and then I'll have to start punching new holes!

Although when stuff like this happens, I flash back to an old episode of MASH, when BJ starts swapping out Charles' uniform for other peoples and convinces him that he's lost and then gained weight.  I have a mental image of my wife swapping belts on me and giggling the whole time!  She's like that you know!

Yesterday was my blow-off day and boy was it a success!  It started out o.k. with a western omelet, home fries and english muffin at Eat N Park, followed by an hour of bowling and some grocery shopping.  Lunch was reasonable, and then I went to Dad's for dinner and had about 1700 calories, including a piece of cherry pie and a half piece of lemon meringue pie.  It was for a good cause though, my future niece-in-law wants pie instead of cake at her shower and we were sampling some from a local bakery.  That's why I build one into my week.  Life happens, I can deny myself things I enjoy or I can work around them.  Every day for the previous 6 days, I was under my calorie goal by about 100 calories, not counting the calories I burned exercising.  It all works out to me still being under my weekly calorie allowance.  That's one of the reasons it's so beneficial to keep a food journal.

On January 2nd I weighed in at 370.6 pounds
On January 14th I weighed in at 362.2 pounds

8.4 lbs lost so far.
