Cheat day on Friday

I've been pretty disciplined for the last couple weeks and I think I am going to have a bit of a calorie splurge tomorrow.  I am going to do this for a couple reasons.  First, I've been having some food cravings and they've lasted for a week, so I want to satisfy them before it really gets out of hand.  They are a couple favorites; donuts and a steak hoagie.

They just opened a Dunkin Donuts near me, so I may leave early tomorrow and get a dozen to treat my coworkers.  The challenge for me will be to limit myself to two; an apple cinnamon and a vanilla creme.  I'll just have to make sure I force the rest on other people!  Let them deal with will-power challenges!

Since I'll have to go out at lunch to get Powerball tickets for the office pool, I'll grab lunch while I'm out.  If I'm doing that, I might as well satisfy my other craving and stop at Uncle Sam's for a special steak hoagie and fries.  They make a great hoagie with steak, provolone, onion, lettuce, tomato and mushrooms!

Friday is also fish-fry day, so I'll pick up some beer battered cod, haluski and cole slaw to top off the day right!

I did some pre-calculations and I'll be around 3000-3100 calories for the three meals, which is about 1000 over my daily limit.  Right now it seems so excessive, but 3 months ago I would have considered that an average day.

The second reason I am going to splurge, other than it's been a while since I have, is that I've been between 200 and 600 calories under my limit every day this week.  So it is excessive for one day, but I'll still be under my daily limit when averaged out over the week.

I have to admit that I'll probably freak myself out a little and end up eating extra light on Saturday and Sunday!
