A good weekend

All in all, I had a pretty good weekend.  First, I had said that I would exercise Friday, Saturday and Sunday and I did.  On Friday, I just did 30 minutes on the treadmill, but I increased my speed from 2.7 to 2.8.  I know it doesn't sound like much, but it's a big thing for me.  On Saturday, I did strength training for 55 minutes and the treadmill for 30 minutes.  The new routine is a little tougher with more exercises and I am feeling it today.  On Sunday, I walked on the treadmill for 60 minutes, 30 at 2.8 mph with a 3% incline and 30 at 2.5 mph with a 3% incline.  I figured I would need the extra calories.

I woke up Sunday craving something sweet, so I decided to treat myself to French toast.  I calculated everything out and determined that my breakfast, including turkey bacon and syrup,  would be about 700 calories which is about double the amount that I normally eat but knew I could manage the rest of the day.  While my wife was still sleeping I made myself 3 pieces of turkey bacon and 3 slices of French toast.  I was just about to plate it when my wife came downstairs, so she got the first plate!  Then I made myself another 3 pieces of turkey bacon and 3 more slices of French toast and it really hit the spot!  About a half an hour after breakfast, my sister texted me, inviting us over for dinner and ho-ho cake.  It was my brother-in-law's birthday and she was making egg rolls.  Other than the fact that she uses egg roll wrappers and deep fries the end product, what she makes is nothing like an egg roll.  The filling is a mixture of chicken, celery, onions, mushrooms, tomatoes and mozarella cheese.  They are very good, but very greasy.  I asked her to bake some of them for me and felt better about the meal.  The ho-ho cake is chocolate cake, with some sort of cream topping, covered with a chocolate ganache.  Also very good, with no way to lighten it up.  Knowing that all of that would be for dinner, I figured I would double my work out.  I also kept lunch light, with a piece of salmon on a tossed salad.  At the end of the day, I still had a surplus of calories so Yay! to me.

This week I want to exercise every day and take off Sunday.  I want to make that my normal routine and will keep working on that goal.

I also weighed in  and I lost 1.2 pounds this week.  I am 2 ounces shy of the 20lb mark.
On January 2nd I weighed in at 370.6 pounds
On March 18th I weighed in at 350.8 pounds

So far, that's 5.34%.
