Plateau!!!

I haven't lost any weight in over 30 days.  Around Easter, I had a gain from water weight and lost that weight, but I haven't been able to get past the 20lb mark.  I've been getting plenty of exercise and have been staying under my calories.  Also, even though the scale isn't moving, I am losing inches.  In fact, today I moved down a notch on my belt!  These days, most belts are two thin pieces of leather stitched around a piece of cardboard.  These belts suck for every day use because they wear out quickly.  However, I finally found a brown belt that is just one piece of leather.   In January, I was using the 2nd of 5 notches.  Since January, I've gone through the other 3 notches and am now on the 2nd notch that I've added to the belt!  So something is happening!

In an attempt to shock my metabolism, I went on a bit of a calorie splurge this past weekend.  I ate take out food all weekend.  Chinese food, hoagies, donuts, pasta... It was also a busy weekend.  On Saturday, we took down our drapes and shears, washed the windows and hung vertical blinds.  It took about 8 hours to finish everything.  Also on Saturday, I had 2 yards of mulch delivered.  On Sunday, I spent the morning shoveling and spreading the mulch.  So I ate a lot, but I also burned a lot.  We'll see what happens in the next couple weeks.

I'm still walking at work and like it much better than the treadmill at home.  It's also a nice break in my day.One downside is that I'm getting hungry around 3:00, so I've had to stock up on some granola type protein bars to keep myself from hitting the vending machine.
